Hi! We are hiring general help/set up for a 2 day event with dogs! MUST SUBMIT PHOTO & RESUME TO jgiraldo@24seveninc.com **This is a w-2 job* **if this is your first time working with us, payment will got out as a check in the mail 2 weeks after the event is completed** Date/Time: Sat, Sept 6 and Sun, Sept 7: 8 am - 3 pm Saturday, September 6th – Dachshund Races & Costume Contest Set-up – Help - Set-up Registration Table and Chairs - Arrange Prizes/Give-Away Items/Brochures attractively on Table - Arrange Race Capes / Prepare to distribute - Assist vendors with booth set-up pre-event - Clean-up stray boxes/garbage, etc. before event starts Registration – Dachshund Races - Check-in pre-registered dogs - Hand out numbered race capes (Remind these will be collected after the race) - Register additional dogs – add to race heats Dog Wrangler - Announcer will call the dogs scheduled for each heat - Work with the crowd to find the dogs in the next heat and get them to the starting line - Signal to the Announcer when all dogs are present - Communicate to Announcer about any missing dogs - Keep everyone behind the starting line before race begins Score Keepers - Keep everyone behind the finish line before the race begins - “catchers” can wave toys or call to their dogs, but cannot step over the finish line - Watch which dogs cross the finish line in which order and notate on the scoring sheet - Get the scoring sheet with the winners to the Announcer (1st, 2nd, 3rd, each heat) - Dogs MUST cross the finish line to win Prizes/Awards - After all events are over, work with the crowd to find the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner from each event - Bring each winner to the “Wiener’s Circle” to receive their awards Tear-Down/Clean-up - Tables and chairs may stay in the dog park - Sponsor booths may stay up overnight - Box up all items / remaining prizes, etc. - Cart-out to cars - Collect Dachshund Racing Capes after the race Sunday, September 7th – Doggy Olympics Set-up – Help - Arrange Prizes/Give-Away Items/Brochures attractively on Registration Table - Arrange Wine Glasses, Beach Towels on Pre-Event Table - Fill wine glasses with water - Clean-up stray boxes/garbage, etc. before event starts Registration – Doggy Olympics - Check-in pre-registered dogs - Register additional dogs – Dog Wrangler - Announcer will call the dogs scheduled for each event - Handlers parade their dogs around the area - Wine Glass Walk -- Help each contestant get lined up with their wine glass -- Help each contestant set their wine glass down when they return -- Assist score keeper in determining winners - Musical Beach Towels -- Place 6 beach towels in a large circle with lots of space between them -- Make sure to have 1 less beach towel than you have dogs in each round -- Remove a beach towel after each round -- Make sure that dogs circle around the towels as the music is playing – no stepping on the towels. Longest Sit-Stay Contest -- Line up the number of beach towels you need for each event -- Guide contestants to the beach towels -- Announcer will instruct them to get in a sit-stay -- Remove beach towels as each contestant’s dog stands or moves off of the towel Score Keepers - Keep track of the dogs who win each and notate on the scoring sheet - Get the scoring sheet with the winners to the Announcer (1st, 2nd, 3rd, each heat) Prizes/Awards - After all events are over, work with the crowd to find the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner from each event - Bring each winner to the Winner’s Circle Tear-Down/Clean-up - Fold tables and chairs – lean up against the fence - Help sponsors take down their booths if needed - Take down all banners and fold/roll - Fold tablecloths and put in boxes - Cart-out all materials to Cars - Discard any garbage
