WHAT YOU’LL BE LEADING
You will oversee an Advent Promotions field team supporting a high-profile retail pop-up experience.
The Team Lead serves as the primary point of contact for Advent's staff in the field and works closely with onsite production leadership. The formal project scope calls for the Team Lead to manage staff check-in/check-out, breaks, indoor/outdoor rotations, daily communication, issue escalation, team morale, reporting, and confidentiality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading daily BA check-in, attendance and positioning
Managing staff rotations and break schedules
Keeping the team organized, informed and ready to perform
Serving as the first point of contact for BA questions and concerns
Communicating professionally with Advent Promotions and onsite production leadership
Identifying problems early and solving them quickly
Escalating staffing, guest or operational issues when necessary
Maintaining team morale throughout a long-term activation
Supporting staff with breaks, hydration, snacks and general team needs
Reinforcing wardrobe, grooming and professionalism standards
Enforcing confidentiality, NDA, no-photo and no-posting policies
Providing attendance, performance and daily recap updates
Leading by example with exceptional punctuality and professionalism
The underlying project requires polished staff with strong guest-service skills and experience relevant to retail, pop-ups, music, fashion, merchandise, fan events, hospitality or experiential marketing.
WHO WE WANT
We are looking for someone who is:
A real leader. Your team should feel confident when you are running the floor.
Extremely reliable. Being early matters. Communication matters. Attendance matters.
Calm under pressure. Things change during live events. We need someone who finds solutions instead of adding stress.
Professional with clients. You must know how to communicate with producers and onsite leadership appropriately.
Organized. You will be responsible for multiple team members, breaks, rotations, communication and daily reporting.
People-focused. Great Team Leads take care of their staff while still holding everyone accountable.
Discreet. This is a confidential program. Confidentiality is a major requirement of the activation, and project materials and client information are protected.
STRONG CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
Previous Team Lead, Field Manager or Event Manager experience
Experiential marketing or brand activation experience
Retail or pop-up experience
Experience managing teams in fast-paced environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent punctuality and attendance
Confidence communicating with producers and client representatives
Ability to manage personalities professionally
Ability to work long-term Wednesday–Sunday schedules
NYC availability and reliable transportation
CONFIDENTIALITY
The client, exact activation details and confidential program information will not be disclosed publicly.
Selected candidates must complete Advent Promotions onboarding and required confidentiality documentation before receiving confidential client information, activation materials and full field instructions. The project scope specifically requires NDAs before confidential materials or training are shared and prohibits contractors from sharing, photographing or posting behind-the-scenes project information.
PAYMENT
$40/hour | Approximately 405 scheduled hours | Potential gross: $16,200
Approved hours are paid biweekly.
Contractors will complete Advent Promotions' timekeeping procedures and may enroll in QuickBooks direct deposit.
