📣 Job Posting: Experienced Mascot & Handler Needed — Albany, NY We’re seeking experienced Mascot Performers and Handlers for a series of high-energy, family-friendly community events happening across Albany parks this summer and fall! 📅 Event Dates, Times & Locations: Friday, July 18th | ⏰ 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM 📍 Hackett Park – 35 N First St, Albany, NY 12204 Friday, July 25th | ⏰ 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM 📍 Black Lives Matter Park – 484 Livingston Ave, Albany, NY 12206 Friday, August 1st | ⏰ 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM 📍 Buckingham Pond Park – 39 Berkshire Blvd, Albany, NY 12203 Friday, August 8th | ⏰ 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM 📍 Bleecker Stadium – 721 Clinton Ave, Albany, NY 12206 Sunday, September 28th | ⏰ 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM 📍 Upper Madison Street Fair – Madison Avenue between S. Allen and W. Lawrence Streets, Albany, NY 12208 🦸‍♂️ Positions & Pay: Mascot Performer: $31/hr Mascot Handler: $27/hr 👾 Mascot Performer Responsibilities: Engage and entertain guests in a fun, friendly, high-energy manner. Stay in character and represent the brand/organization positively. Pose for photos, perform simple movements, and safely interact with guests of all ages. No speaking or costume removal in public view unless instructed. 🖤 Mascot Handler Responsibilities: Escort and assist the mascot, ensuring safety and smooth crowd navigation. Guide through crowds and uneven terrain, assist with costume prep, and carry cooling supplies. Help the mascot stay on brand and in character. 👕 Uniform Requirements: Mascot Performer: Comfortable, breathable clothing and sneakers (you’ll be inside a costume). Handler: All-black business casual attire. No rips, holes, logos, or distressed clothing. 📌 Notes: Seeking highly experienced performers and handlers only. All events are outdoors — come prepared for warm weather and extended standing/walking.
