Gig Overview: Formula 1 is returning to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, and Brand Besties is booking 4 Team Leads to oversee our Usher teams throughout the event weekend. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in high volume, multi day event environments and can keep a large team of Ushers organized, motivated, and guest focused across a demanding three day race weekend. The Team Lead will act as both a hands on Usher and the on site leader for their assigned area, performing standard Usher duties while also coordinating staffing, communicating with supervisors, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the venue. This opportunity requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the confidence to make quick decisions in a fast paced, high visibility environment. Event Location: Circuit of the Americas (COTA) Event Address: 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd, Austin, TX 78617 Dates and Times: • October 23, 6:30AM to 6:00PM • October 24, 6:00AM to 7:00PM • October 25, 6:00AM to 7:00PM Pay: $30.00/hr Parking: Free on site Team Lead Scope Team Leadership and Coordination You'll check in your assigned Usher team upon arrival, confirming everyone is present, on time, and properly dressed. Throughout each shift, you'll lead by example performing standard Usher duties, keep your team engaged and on task, enforce professionalism standards, and coordinate breaks to maintain full section coverage across long shift days. Client and On-Site Communication You'll serve as a point of contact for on site supervisors, communicating updates, staffing needs, or issues clearly and professionally. You'll escalate major concerns appropriately while resolving smaller issues independently to keep your area on track. Guest Flow and Venue Oversight You'll oversee guest flow and section access across your assigned area, troubleshooting ticketing discrepancies, seating issues, or crowd flow concerns as they arise. You'll support accessibility needs and help maintain a safe, organized environment for every fan throughout the event. Usher Duties In addition to your leadership scope, you'll guide guests to their sections and seats, verify tickets at entry points, monitor crowd flow through aisles and access points, and answer guest questions about seating, amenities, and the event schedule. Ideal Candidate • Proven experience as a Team Lead, Event Lead, or Senior Usher • Confident, proactive, and calm under pressure • Strong communicator with leadership presence • Comfortable coordinating a team across long, multi day shifts in a high volume venue • Able to problem solve quickly around ticketing, seating, or crowd flow issues • Experience with large scale events, motorsports, or stadium ushering is a major plus • Must be available for all three event days, October 23 through October 25 Why This Gig Rocks • Lead a large Usher team at one of the biggest events on the Austin calendar • Hands on leadership opportunity with real responsibility • Work alongside a premium, experienced event staffing team • Free on site parking for the whole weekend This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
