Job Overview: We’re seeking engaging, personable, and community-minded Brand Ambassadors to represent TxDOT at this impactful campaign. Ambassadors will help bring the message to life by encouraging drivers to participate in the experience and promoting safer driving habits in a fun, interactive setting. In 2024, speed-related crashes led to hundreds of fatalities and serious injuries on Texas highways. To help reduce this number, TxDOT is launching the SPEED Campaign – a summer road safety awareness initiative designed to engage travelers at Buc-ee’s locations across the state. This interactive, carnival-themed experience features games, quizzes, and virtual reality elements, reminding motorists to drive smart and slow down. Event Location: New Braunfels, TX 78130 Date & Time: July 25, 9:30AM - 2:00PM Pay: $28.00/hr Key Responsibilities: Enthusiastically greet and engage travelers around the SPEED Road Show trailer Encourage and guide participants through games, iPad quizzes, and VR experiences Share key safety messages with visitors in a clear, friendly, and informative manner Assist with survey question collection and report visitor interaction numbers to the on-site Outreach Manager Maintain a high-energy presence throughout the activation, despite hot outdoor conditions Represent TxDOT’s mission and the campaign goals in a professional and approachable way Requirements: Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills Ability to stand outdoors and remain actively engaged for a 4-hour shift Reliable transportation to Buc-ee’s locations across Texas Comfortable using an iPad and basic technology Prior promotional, event, or outreach experience is a plus Passion for community involvement and public safety is a big bonus Attire: Must wear campaign t-shirt (provided) and bring black long shorts and comfortable shoes
