Gig Overview:
We are seeking 9 energetic, professional, and fan-first Brand Ambassadors to support the Big 12 College Basketball Championship Fan Fest during the Men’s and Women’s tournaments. This multi-day activation transforms Grand Boulevard outside the T-Mobile Center into “Big 12 Boulevard,” an immersive, interactive fan experience celebrating college basketball, competition, and Big 12 pride.
Brand Ambassadors will serve as the face of the Big 12 Fan Fest, guiding fans through interactive storefronts, managing games and play stations, assisting with photo moments, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, engaged, and excited before heading into the arena. This role requires strong communication skills, situational awareness, and a genuine enthusiasm for live events and fan engagement.
Fans will enter the Fan Fest through Grand Boulevard and immediately step into Big 12 Boulevard, a walk-through experience featuring themed storefronts, interactive games, photo moments, giveaways, and a sport court. The environment is fast-paced, high-energy, and highly visible, with fans of all ages cycling through continuously until tip-off.
Brand Ambassadors are essential to keeping the experience flowing smoothly, safely, and on-brand. Whether you are welcoming guests, running a game, helping someone capture the perfect photo, or managing crowd flow, you are a key part of bringing the Big 12 experience to life.

Pay: $30.00/hr
Parking: Up to $30.00 per day with proof of receipt.
Key Responsibilities
All Brand Ambassadors should be comfortable performing the following core duties, regardless of station assignment:
Act as a friendly, knowledgeable representative of the Big 12 brand at all times
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and energetic environment for fans
Clearly explain activities, games, or experiences to guests when needed
Assist with setup, organization, and breakdown of the Fan Fest footprint
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation of all areas
Monitor assets, equipment, and giveaways to prevent damage, loss, or misuse
Maintain awareness of crowd behavior and escalate issues to leadership when necessary
Follow direction from on-site leadership and remain flexible to shift roles if needed
Station & Role Responsibilities
Marquee Entrance / Guest Welcome
Greet fans warmly as they enter Big 12 Boulevard
Provide a brief, high-level explanation of the Fan Fest experience when asked
Encourage guests to explore all storefronts, games, and play stations
Track guest entry flow using a hand tally counter
Serve as a visual and verbal anchor for the experience’s first impression
Interactive Storefronts & Photo Moments
Assist fans with photo booth setups and iPad-based photo experiences
Help guests navigate photo apps and capture high-quality images
Oversee themed storefront areas to ensure assets are respected and secure
Distribute giveaways such as temporary tattoos and assist with application when needed
Keep storefronts organized, engaging, and “show ready” throughout the event
Game & Play Stations
Clearly explain gameplay rules for interactive stations such as ring toss, chest pass, vertical jump, and basketball games
Encourage participation while keeping gameplay fair, efficient, and fun
Manage lines and guest flow to ensure everyone gets a chance to play
Award prizes to winners as directed
Monitor equipment closely to prevent loss or misuse
Sport Court / Basketball Play Area
Manage fan participation and shooting rotations
Ensure guests have adequate play time without monopolizing the space
Maintain order, safety, and equipment accountability
Keep energy high while enforcing respectful play
Breakdown & Reset Support
Assist with post-activation cleanup and organization
Repack giveaways, signage, and equipment as instructed
Ensure all areas are reset and prepared for the next activation day
Professional Expectations
Remain at your assigned station unless directed otherwise by leadership
Refrain from phone use outside of designated break times
Maintain a positive, calm, and professional demeanor at all times
Handle large crowds, high foot traffic, and energetic environments with confidence
Represent the Big 12 brand with integrity, enthusiasm, and respect
Escalate any safety concerns, unruly behavior, or unanswered questions to on-site leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile
Outgoing, personable, and confident engaging with diverse crowds
Comfortable speaking to guests and explaining experiences clearly
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow detailed instructions
Able to stay alert, active, and professional in a fast-paced outdoor environment
Previous brand ambassador, event staff, or fan engagement experience is a plus
Interest in sports, live events, or experiential marketing strongly preferred
