Brand Besties is booking Brand Ambassadors to represent 1 Million Strong at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., as the nation marks America's 250th Birthday. This is a high-energy, high-visibility activation taking place at one of the most iconic venues in the country, during one of the most significant celebrations in American history. 1 Million Strong is a civic movement rooted in the country's founding principles, encouraging everyday Americans to take action, sign on, and make their voice count. As a Brand Ambassador on this activation, you'll be the face of that movement, welcoming guests to the footprint, energizing the crowd, and creating an unforgettable experience that connects people to something bigger than themselves. From driving guests toward the Declaration of Independence signing wall, to running a competitive basketball shot game, to facilitating on-camera interviews, this gig is dynamic, fast-paced, and deeply meaningful. You'll greet arriving guests warmly, orient them to the activation, and encourage them to participate in the signature Declaration of Independence signing wall, an interactive centerpiece where attendees can make their mark and add their name to the movement. You'll also help run the activation's basketball shot game, a fan-favorite returning from a previous activation, reimagined here under the theme "One Small Step, One Small Shot." Guests will compete against a timer for a chance to win branded merchandise, and you'll be responsible for keeping the energy high, explaining the rules clearly, tracking rounds, and celebrating winners. On-camera interviews are another key element of this footprint, and you'll play an active role in identifying willing participants, setting them at ease, and encouraging them to share their thoughts on civic action, America's founding, and what the 250th anniversary means to them. Throughout the activation, you'll drive traffic into the footprint, manage crowd flow, and ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience and a clear understanding of what 1 Million Strong stands for. Ideal Candidate Outgoing, approachable, and genuinely excited to engage with the public in a high-traffic outdoor setting Comfortable being on your feet for the duration of a 6-hour schedule and working in an outdoor environment Confident communicating the mission and purpose of a civic-focused movement to a wide variety of guests Experience with experiential marketing, brand activations, festivals, or fan engagement events is a plus but not required Comfortable supporting light game facilitation and encouraging guest participation in interactive elements Professional, punctual, and a strong team collaborator who takes pride in delivering a premium guest experience A genuine enthusiasm for American history, civic engagement, or community-driven causes is a big plus Why You'll Love This Gig You will be part of a historic milestone, staffing a major activation during America's 250th Birthday celebration at one of the most iconic locations in the country This is a dynamic, multi-element footprint with variety built in, from game facilitation to on-camera moments to civic conversations, so no two hours will feel the same Competitive pay at $30.00/hr with parking reimbursement included Multi-week opportunity with consistent scheduling across both morning and evening shifts This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
