Gig Overview:
We’re seeking a charismatic, high-energy Mascot / Brand Character to be the heartbeat of the Mini Factory Town activation for -196 Vodka at the South Beach Food & Wine Festival. This role is all about personality, presence, and performance. You will embody a “Mad Scientist” character, bringing curiosity, excitement, and controlled chaos to the activation while keeping guests engaged, smiling, and eager to participate.

The Mascot will move throughout the activation space acting as a living brand moment. You’ll energize guests, encourage participation, hand out -196 cans where permitted, and create memorable interactions through character-driven engagement. This role is highly visible and central to the success of the activation, requiring strong crowd awareness, improvisation skills, and the ability to maintain character while supporting smooth guest flow and safety.

Pay: $35.00/hr
Parking: Up to $30.00 per day with proof of receipt.
Key Responsibilities
Fully embody the Mad Scientist character throughout the event
Act as the primary brand personality and visual focal point of the activation
Move dynamically throughout the activation space to attract attention and drive excitement
Hand out -196 cans to guests in accordance with event rules and brand guidelines
Encourage guests to participate in the various activation elements
Take photos with guests and proactively create photo-worthy moments
Interact with guests in a playful, engaging, and on-brand manner while staying in character
Elevate the immersive experience through expressive movement, gestures, and improvisation
Maintain awareness of guest flow, spacing, and safety at all times
Work closely with promo staff and on-site leads to ensure smooth operations

Ideal Candidate
Background in mascot work, character performance, acting, or experiential marketing preferred
Comfortable performing in costume and engaging with large crowds
Strong non-verbal communication skills and expressive body language
Confident, outgoing, and able to improvise in real time
Physically able to move, gesture, and stay active for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Able to take direction while also independently driving engagement
