Gig Overview: Formula 1 is returning to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, and Brand Besties is booking Back Up Ushers to help keep guest flow running smoothly across the venue. This flexible team steps in wherever an Usher is needed throughout the event, whether that means guiding guests to sections and seats, verifying tickets at entry points, or supporting crowd flow in a different area of the venue. While you'll be ready to take on any assigned section or duty, your primary responsibility is to show up at the start of each shift every day and remain available to step in wherever you're needed most. Event Location: Circuit of the Americas (COTA) Event Address: 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd, Austin, TX 78617 Dates and Times: • October 23, 7:30AM to 8:30AM • October 24, 7:00AM to 8:00AM • October 25, 7:00AM to 8:00AM Pay: $40.00 flat rate If you are put into an Usher role you will be paid $24.00/hr (availability pay, even if not assigned a specific section) Parking: Free on site Gig Scope As a Back Up Usher, you'll arrive at the start of each shift ready to be assigned to whichever section or duty needs support that day. You'll adapt quickly to the responsibilities of your assignment, whether that's guiding guests to their seats, verifying tickets at an entry point, or helping manage crowd flow through aisles and access points. You'll stay in close communication with Team Leads throughout the day to stay updated on assignments and any changes, and you'll bring the same professionalism, courtesy, and helpful attitude to every section you support. Being ready to move between assignments and step in wherever the event needs you is the heart of this gig. Ideal Candidate • Highly flexible and comfortable adapting to different sections and duties on the fly • Outstanding customer service skills with a warm, approachable, professional demeanor • Comfortable standing and moving throughout a large outdoor venue for extended periods • Punctual and reliable, with availability required for every shift • Proactive and alert, able to anticipate guest needs and resolve issues before they escalate • Previous ushering, event operations, guest services, or hospitality experience is a plus • Must be available for all three event days, October 23 through October 25 Why You'll Love This Gig • Get hands on experience across multiple sections of a major venue in one gig • Stay busy and engaged at one of the world's premier racing events • Great way to build versatile event and guest services experience quickly • Free on site parking for the whole weekend This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
