Job Overview:
We’re hiring a hard-working and reliable Production Assistant to support the campaign’s mobile exhibit. This is a physically active, behind-the-scenes role that is essential to ensuring each activation runs smoothly and is presented in a polished, professional manner. You'll be the go-to help for setup and teardown, working directly with our on-site client and event leads.
The TxDOT SPEED Campaign is a statewide road safety initiative designed to educate summer travelers about the dangers of speeding. Taking place at Buc-ee’s locations across Texas, this engaging, carnival-themed activation features interactive elements such as games, VR stations, and quizzes – all designed to promote smarter driving habits.
Event Location: Bastrop, TX 78602
Date & Time: July 24, 2025
6:00AM - 9:30AM
1:30PM - 3:30PM
Pay: $30.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with unloading trucks and unpacking materials at each event site
Set up and position items such as tables, signage, tents, props, VR equipment, and other activation materials
Ensure the space is organized, clean, and visually appealing before the event begins
Help with event breakdown, packing equipment back into cases/boxes, loading trucks
Follow direction from the on-site client team and adjust quickly to last-minute needs or layout changes
Ensure all activation items are handled with care and returned in good condition
Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude, even in hot outdoor conditions
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical labor, including loading/unloading equipment
Comfortable working outdoors in the Texas heat
Previous experience in event setup/production, AV, or general labor preferred but not required
Punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic are essential
Access to reliable transportation
