Job Overview: The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is launching a statewide campaign – "Drive Sober. No Regrets." – to promote safe driving during the July 4th holiday season. The FACES activation features interactive exhibits including a driving simulator, games, and educational components encouraging attendees to plan a sober ride. We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Production Assistant to support the client’s on-site team. The PA will help with the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of the activation space, ensuring that all event elements are in place and operational. This role is physically demanding and requires someone who can lift, move, and position equipment, furniture, and materials throughout the day. Event Location: Corpus Christi 78411 Date & Time: June 28, 2025 Setup: 7:00AM - 11:00AM Breakdown: 7:30PM - 9:30PM Pay: $30.00/hr Key Responsibilities: Assist with loading/unloading event materials, furniture, and equipment Set up and position campaign elements including: Tables, chairs, signage, game stations, and display pieces Driving simulator, video displays, and interactive stations Move and lift boxes of event materials (may weigh up to 50 lbs) Ensure activation space is clean, safe, and organized prior to event start Assist with reconfiguring layout or troubleshooting setup issues as needed Stay on-site during the event to assist with any physical or technical adjustments Break down and pack all materials post-event in an organized, careful manner Work closely with the client team and follow all directions accurately Maintain a professional demeanor and wear appropriate event attire (comfortable, work-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes) Requirements: Prior event production, warehouse, labor, or crew experience preferred Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects safely and efficiently Strong work ethic and attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and solution-oriented Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation to and from event location Must be able to arrive early and stay through full teardown
