We are seeking 3 reliable and physically capable Event Labor Staff to support a brand activation taking place at the Boston Marathon in Boston, MA. These team members will assist with load-in, setup, breakdown, and load-out of activation materials before and after the event. This role requires individuals who are comfortable handling heavy equipment and set pieces, can follow instructions precisely, and work efficiently as part of a team. These Event Labor Staff will support the load-in, setup, breakdown, and load-out of a brand activation at the Boston Marathon in Boston, MA. Responsibilities include unloading heavy activation materials from a truck, safely transporting items to the activation space using dollies and moving equipment, and assisting with setting up wooden walls, photo backdrops, furniture, signage, and other event assets according to client direction. After the event, staff will break down the activation, carefully repack all materials, and prepare them for shipment. This role requires individuals who can safely handle 100+ lb items, take direction well, work efficiently as part of a team, and maintain a positive, safety-focused attitude throughout the process. Event Location: City Hall Plaza Event Address: 1 City Hall Square, Boston, MA 02203 Date & Time: April 16, 1:30PM - 5:30PM Pay: $32.00/hr Parking: Up to $30.00 with proof of receipt. Key Responsibilities ● Assist with loading and unloading activation materials from a box truck ● Safely transport materials from the truck to the activation space using dollies and other moving equipment ● Support the setup and breakdown of the activation according to client direction and layout specifications ● Handle and position items including (but not limited to): ○ Wooden walls and structural elements ○ Photo moment backdrops ○ Small tables and chairs ○ Signage and stanchions ○ Small two-seater couches ○ Additional décor and activation assets ● Ensure all items are handled with care to prevent damage or injury ● Assist with repacking and preparing materials for shipment during load-out ● Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the process ● Follow all safety guidelines and best practices when lifting and moving heavy objects Physical Requirements ● Must be able to lift and move items weighing 100+ lbs (with team support when appropriate) ● Comfortable performing physical labor for extended periods ● Able to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects safely ● Must wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes suitable for event labor Qualifications & Expectations ● Prior experience with event labor, production support, warehouse work, or moving is strongly preferred ● Strong ability to take direction, listen carefully, and follow instructions ● Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude ● Punctual, dependable, and able to work efficiently under time constraints ● Safety-conscious and detail-oriented to ensure both personnel and materials remain protected Additional Notes ● Dollies and moving equipment will be provided on-site ● Staff must be comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
