Seasonal Photo Booth Attendant / Event Host
Cap City Booths | Fall & Holiday Season
Location: Equipment pickup in Crofton/Odenton, MD. Events throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
Season: Start as soon as possible through December 31, 2026.
Openings: Two seasonal positions.
Pay: $200–$250 per standard event assignment, plus reimbursed parking and tolls.
Additional compensation: Paid training and a $500 season-completion bonus.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Cap City Booths provides photo booth experiences for corporate events, weddings, conferences, universities, and private celebrations throughout the DC metropolitan area.
We’re looking for two dependable, friendly people to join our team for the busy fall and holiday season. You’ll welcome guests, help them capture great photos, and keep the photo booth experience running smoothly.
You don’t need to be a photographer or have previous photo booth experience. We provide paid, hands-on training. Reliability, a positive attitude, and comfort with technology matter most.
This is seasonal, event-based work for someone seeking supplemental income, rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
PAY AND REIMBURSEMENTS
Standard assignment rates:
2-hour event: $200, with approximately 6 total hours involved.
3-hour event: $225, with approximately 7 total hours involved.
4-hour event: $250, with approximately 8 total hours involved.
The event length refers to the guest-facing portion of the assignment. Your full assignment also includes equipment pickup, loading, travel, setup, breakdown, and equipment return. Actual time varies by venue and assignment.
Additional assignment time is paid at $25 per hour, with the schedule and any extensions coordinated with Cap City.
Event-related parking and tolls are reimbursed separately, on top of assignment pay.
Payments are processed daily through Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, or another agreed payment method.
An additional $500 season-completion bonus is available for meeting the written seasonal participation and reliability requirements through December 31. Full bonus terms will be provided before you begin.
SCHEDULING AND AVAILABILITY
Good weekend and evening availability is important. Weekday daytime availability is especially helpful for corporate events and conferences.
You can choose assignments that fit your availability. Once you accept an event, we count on you to follow through, arrive prepared, and communicate promptly.
You do not need to be available every weekend. Assignment volume varies, and there is no guaranteed weekly schedule or minimum number of events.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Review event instructions, collect equipment, and transport it safely in your vehicle.
• Set up and test the booth, backdrop, lighting, printer, and sharing features before guests arrive.
• Welcome guests, explain the experience, help with photos and prints, and keep the booth area organized.
• Monitor supplies, handle basic troubleshooting, and contact the operations team when support is needed.
• Complete event closeout, pack equipment carefully, report any issues, and return everything as arranged.
TRANSPORTATION AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Equipment pickup, transportation, and return are essential parts of this role.
You must have access to a reliable four-door sedan or larger vehicle with sufficient clear space for the equipment.
Pickup and return take place in the Odenton area near Crofton. Timing is flexible, with same-day pickup and return preferred. Equipment should generally be returned within 24 hours after the event.
The work involves standing and moving around event spaces, loading and unloading cases, and assembling equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. You should be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
PAID TRAINING
Training includes one one-on-one session at $25 per hour, one or two shadow assignments, and one supervised lead assignment where you run the event with an experienced attendant present for support.
All supervised training events, including the supervised lead assignment, pay:
2-hour event: $125.
3-hour event: $150.
4-hour event: $175.
The first shadow assignment is a paid, two-way evaluation. You’ll experience the full event workflow, and we’ll review feedback from you and the lead attendant before continuing.
Standard assignment rates begin after successful completion of training and approval to work independently.
WHO WILL DO WELL HERE?
You’re punctual, personable, comfortable with basic technology, and willing to take initiative. You can follow instructions, care for equipment, communicate professionally, and stay calm when something needs troubleshooting.
Customer service, hospitality, event staffing, photography, or technical experience is helpful, but not required.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply through this posting with a resume or a brief description of your relevant experience.
Please include your general location, vehicle type, earliest start date, weekend and weekday availability, and any known unavailable dates through December 31.
Opportunities to continue after the season may be available based on performance, availability, and business needs.
We can teach you the equipment. We’re looking for someone we can count on to show up, take ownership, and give our guests a great experience.
