We’re seeking an experienced manager and staff to work at our spirited Holiday Shops. We are Dr. Silkman’s, a NYC brand, crafting natural home, lifestyle, and body care items, including the original body lotion candle, a candle that melts into a nourishing body lotion. For November and December, we are seeking both team members and a manager for the Downtown D.C. Holiday Market (We also have opportunities in NYC, Boston, and Chicago). Our brand is warm, helpful, and high-quality. If you exude these characteristics and are able to make quick connections with diverse people effortlessly, this seasonal job will be very rewarding. What you’ll do: Sales and customer service tasks such as greeting customers, guiding them through the product line, providing product benefits and usage information as needed Manage a cash drawer and use a POS system Inventory management Keep the look and feel of the shops clean, inviting, & eye-catching Adhere to company policies and our code of conduct with customers and teammates Be on time for all shifts Who YOU are: Motivated by sales targets and performance-based bonuses Comfortable engaging with shoppers and demoing products Down to have fun at work and be part of a great team! Open availability is ideal, and you must be able to work shifts during the weeks of Thanksgiving & Christmas Prior experience selling in a very busy environment is preferred, but not required Compensation includes both an hourly rate and opportunities for an end-of-season bonus. Training is also paid. This opportunity is perfect for an Actor/Comedian/Musician/Retail Sales/Customer Service Professional as it requires impromptu communication, confidence, and a desire to engage with people.
