Dear Costco Vendor: Below you will find important information regarding the Vendor-Performed Demo/Vendor Roadshow program. It is important that you read and understand what is required of you in order to be compliant and have a successful demo or roadshow. 1. Costco has made CDS responsible for working with Vendors to schedule and facilitate Vendor Performed Demos and Vendor Roadshows. As such Vendors are required to schedule their demo or roadshow through CDS. If Demo or Roadshow is scheduled by Costco Buyer, Buyer is responsible for notifying CDS so they can log it into their system. 2. CDS does not sell, rent or loan any supplies or equipment. -You will need to bring your own napkins, soufflé cups, sneeze guards, bowls, utensils, trays, tables, microwaves, thermometers, floor mats,etc. -If a hand sink is required you must coordinate with CDS or the Warehouse PRIOR TO the event to make sure one is available or provide your own. If you are unsure if a hand sink is required by a specific jurisdiction please check with CDS and they will let you know. Costco expects that Vendors are knowledgeable in and adhere to any and all jurisdictional requirements. 3. Check-In and Check-out Procedures -Check in and check out with the greeter at the front of the warehouse or at the receiving desk at the back of the warehouse. -Inventory all supplies, equipment, and product with a Costco employee. -Check in with the CDS Event Manager. He/she will direct you to your space and answer any questions you may have about Costco and the demo program. -If doing a demo, you must take all equipment and product you brought with you at the end of the day. You cannot leave it at the warehouse. Road Show equipment and product brought in can remain in the warehouse overnight but must be taken out on the last day of the roadshow. -Demos/Roadshows should be fully set up and ready to go 15 minutes prior to opening and breakdown and clean up should not begin until after the warehouse has closed. -If it is necessary to purchase product or equipment from Costco for the purposes of the demonstration it must be purchased through the register prior to using. 4. Dress Code -Shirts must have collars and sleeves. -Long pants or jeans must be worn. No shorts, capris, or leggings. No skirts. -Shoes must be non-skid and close-toed. No sandals or high heels. -All hair must be covered with a hairnet. A visor or ball cap may be worn OVER a hair net. Facial hair must be covered with a beard net. -No jewelry can be worn (including watches) except a plain wedding band. -Must have a name tag (from vendor or from Costco). Each individual performing a demo function must wear an identification badge. 5. Personnel Policies -Backpacks, purses, and briefcases are not allowed in work area. -No food or drink is allowed in work area. -No gum chewing allowed in work area. -Reading or use of headphones, iPods, etc. is not acceptable. -The use of cell phones should be limited and strictly utilized for business use or only in the case of an emergency. Hands must be washed after using cell phone. 6. CDS Event Manager Responsibilities -The CDS Event Manager is the go-to person for any questions about Costco or the demo program. -He/she will make sure your staff has the proper Food Safety Certification with them. -They will answer questions about warehouse protocol, purchasing product, and setting up your display. -The CDS office is generally located in the back of the warehouse near Costco Receiving or at the front of the warehouse by the employee breakroom. Check with Costco personnel if you need assistance locating them. -CDS will provide all signs for your display (ex: Allergen, Paren
