The Role:
Picking up the photo booth at our offices centrally located in Calgary
Driving to Spruce Meadows
Setting up the photo booth
Ensuring smooth operation of the booth throughout service
Interacting with Families and kids of all ages as they sit for a photo with Santa
Ensuring everyone received their photo to take home
Ensuring everyone receives a digital copy of the photo via text
Tech trouble shooting & changing printer paper
Dropping the photo booth back at our offices at the end of your shift
The Photo Booth Activation Manager is responsible for ensuring a smooth event experience for families and kids, have a general knowledge of the photo booth system and ensure guest engagement throughout the event. This role requires pick up of the photo booth system at our centrally located offices in Calgary, delivery to Spruce Meadows for the Christmas Market dates, set up and take down of the photo booth, monitoring the booth throughout the event, interacting with guests and troubleshooting any technical issues onsite. Setting up and running the booth is pretty simple. We will teach you everything you need to know in a training session before the event dates.
About The Photo Booth:
Our photo booth is sleek, modern and easy to use. The photo booth enclosure contains a dSLR camera connected to a touch screen tablet or ipad, strobe and printer. With a quick tap of the tablet, a photo is taken and the digital and physical print is available to users within seconds.

On-site hours:
Fri Nov 14th - 2:30pm-7:30 (5 hours)
Sat Nov 16th - 9:30am-4:30pm (7 hours)
Sun Nov 17th- 9:30am-4:30pm (7 hours)
Rate is $30/hr
On-site hours:
Fri Nov 21st - 2:30pm-7:30 (5 hours)
Sat Nov 22nd - 9:30am-4:30pm (7 hours)
Sun Nov 23rd - 9:30am-4:30pm (7 hours)
Rate is $30/hr

Total compensation for all dates: $1980
Paid Training at our Calgary home office to take place sometime in early November
Experience:
Interacting with kids and families
Activation management
Photography or Photo Booth experience is an asset
A knack for tech this is an asset
Requirements:
- Your own vehicle and valid driver's license
- Comfortable handling equipment that weighs 40 lbs as you need to load the photo booth in and out of your vehicle
- Local to Calgary, Alberta or the surrounding areas
- Availability Friday through Sunday for the dates requested
- Ability to engage with large and excited crowds of guests at events, galas and festivals
- On the spot problem-solving skills
- Experience working with the public in a customer service or events-related setting including but not limited to: catering, weddings, corporate events, food and beverage or in retail.
Recommended but not required:
- General knowledge of dSLR photography and basic lighting set ups (we can teach you all of this if you are willing to learn!)
- Experience with photo booths
Ideal Candidate:
Experience with events including weddings, banquets, catering and/or the restaurant or retail service industry
Extroverted, great with people, enjoys being in a social atmosphere
Enjoys the flexibility of picking up casual shifts and working independently
Comfortable with simple technical tasks and on-site problem solving
Has their own vehicle and a valid drivers license and comfortable driving in all weather conditions
