JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Build & Strike Crew Members to support temporary hospitality area installations for an upcoming event. Some carpentry skills will be required for parts of this position. Contractors who are successful on this project will be considered for other travel positions doing similar builds throughout the year.
This role is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring a strong work ethic, proactive mindset, and the ability to execute complex builds under tight timelines. Crew members must be able to take direction, anticipate next steps, and contribute without constant supervision; but also able to work in a team environment.
Workdays can be long and variable, depending on the progress of the project and client needs. The workday ends when the work is complete, and flexibility is essential to succeed in this environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will be directly involved in bringing high-end hospitality spaces to life for the F1 Miami Grand Prix. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Laying and securing temporary event flooring systems
Assembling wall panels and temporary structure components
Building and installing custom pre-fabricated elements, including:
Bars and service counters
Entryways and branded feature elements
Decorative and functional furniture pieces
Assisting with lighting installation and positioning per design plans
Peeling, applying, and finishing vinyl graphics and branding elements
Supporting overall build and strike operations, including breakdown, palletizing, and load-out
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the project
Attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to adapt quickly on an active event site are critical to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow established order-of-operations as directed by on-site leadership
Execute build and strike tasks efficiently and accurately
Maintain organized inventory of supplies and back-of-house (BOH) materials
Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and project goals
Maintain high standards of fit, finish, and quality control
Communicate clearly and effectively with teammates and leads
Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site using mechanical aptitude
Take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Perform other duties as assigned — a “do what it takes” approach is expected on-site

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in event production, temporary structures, or similar environments
Experience with complex builds on tight timelines is strongly preferred
OSHA-10 Construction certification or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of offer or by April 20, whichever comes first (at own expense)
Fluent in spoken and written English
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand tools at an advanced level
Strong commitment to safety on active job sites
Ability to lift 40+ lbs (and in short instances up to 100+ lbs), stand for extended periods, frequent bending and standing, working on knees for extended periods, and work outdoors all day
ANTICIPATED DATES
Anticipate 6-8 work days in this window: April 25th - May 5th, 2026
Exact work dates will be sent when/if contract offer is made (after interview)
Punctual attendance is mandatory. Missed days or tardiness may result in contract termination.
COMPENSATION
Project Compensation:
$1500-$2200
Depending on the actual number of days in project offer (and experience)
Pay Date: May 8th
No Travel Reimbursement, Mileage, Lodging or Per Diem available for this project
Some tools, high-visibility work shirts, and hard hats provided on work days and are expected to be returned each day or at the conclusion of the project
