Event Support Crew – Vancouver Vegan Festival Freshify is looking for a reliable, energetic event helper for the Vancouver Vegan Festival on September 5, 2026. This is a hands-on role involving event coordination support, customer service, food serving, and end-of-day packing. Responsibilities: • Assist the event coordinator with booth setup and organization • Welcome customers and explain menu items • Take orders and serve prepared vegan meals and smoothies • Maintain proper portion sizes and clean food-handling practices • Refill serving supplies, packaging, napkins and utensils • Keep the booth, tables and serving area clean and organized • Help manage customer lines during busy periods • Monitor food and supply levels and report shortages • Assist with closing, cleaning, packing equipment and loading the vehicle • Complete other reasonable event-related tasks as needed Requirements: • Friendly, dependable and comfortable speaking with customers • Able to work quickly in a busy festival environment • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Able to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 30–40 lb • Must be available for the full assigned shift, including closing and teardown • FoodSafe Level 1 is preferred • Previous food-service, festival, catering or event experience is an asset • Must wear clean black pants, closed-toe non-slip shoes and the provided Freshify shirt or apron Location: Vancouver, BC Event: Vancouver Vegan Festival Date: September 5, 2026 Company: Freshify Position Type: Temporary event-day contract We need someone who takes initiative and stays until all assigned equipment and supplies are packed.
