Part Time Field Manager The PT Field Manager manages a small set of markets within a given territory. This role is a combination of field team management and account management. The Field Manager will directly manage field staff and be the day-to-day client contact for the market, with support from the Account Team Lead (Senior Director, Sr. Account Supervisor, Account Executive). Position is hourly estimated at 29 hours per week RESPONSIBILITIES Team Management | Mentoring (please note highlighted areas will be trained but FT FM will facilitate) • Recruits/hires/trains staff of Brand Ambassadors and Lead Brand Ambassadors to execute events • Creates and manages event schedule within Havas Street Hub/Portal • Reviews recaps and photos prior to approval for client to view • Reviews and approves field team payroll each week • Track field team mileage for pre-approved asset transportation/pre-approved passthrough expenses and provide to Account Team Lead weekly • Coaching/Mentoring o Spot check events: observe BAs and Lead BAs in action – provide positive and constructive coaching on site o Lead BAs: coach on photos, recap commentary and metrics o Identify BAs with potential as Lead BA and coach on skills sets needed for Lead BA o Jump in as Lead as needed to cover call outs • Regularly monitors and manages all market event activity via GroupMe or group texts o Provide feedback on footprint set up and commentary provided by field team Events | Campaigns Management • Ensures excellence for market events execution/special campaigns and ensures logistics are completed to client standards through consistent communication throughout events • Identifies staffing requirements and collaborates with support teams to ensure appropriate staffing levels assigned markets • Communicates to field team details/instructions via ROS and pre-event calls with leads • Ensures recaps are posted in a timely manner to Havas Street Hub o Clear, concise data capture with meaningful statements about the event/results o Quality photos showing footprint set up, engagements with consumers, crowd size at footprint/venue, etc. Storage | Assets • Maintain storage facility unit (s) for the market (s): clean, organized, items labeled for easy access • Ensure all trash is removed in a timely manner • Asset quality control • Maintain a working inventory document (excel/google doc) and provide to client on consistent basis o Create/manage a tracker for high ticket assets (demo units) used at events and ensure they are safely returned • Facilitate local transport/hand offs and/or shipments to remote markets (work with FM to request FedEx labels and ship items in a timely manner) Account Management • Serve as point person/day-to-day contact for assigned markets (estimate 3-4 that are within drivable distance and may/may not have overnights associated) • Attends client weekly calls, meetings, and planning sessions: May participate as program progresses • Actively participates in brainstorming sessions for local market events, activities. • Identifies/research upcoming events in the assigned market (s) to present to clients on an ongoing basis QUALIFICATIONS Education: AA/BA degree desired (communications, liberal arts, business, or marketing focus preferred) Experience: One to two years of field or experiential marketing experience, or related business environment with one year of team management experience. Skills & Abilities Required: Experience in managing a team of 3+ BAs/staff (tour management, retail management, experiential). Proven ability to lead by example and professional. Possesses high energy, consumer/customer focused approach and demonstrates how to encourage/coach this with the field team. Knowledge of when to rely on personal judgment and when to seek advice. Good delegation skills. Self-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually. Must be resourceful and results driven. Good writing, listening and verbal communications skills. Capable of multitasking, prioritizing and organizing. Effectively manages time and follow up. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, word, excel, power point) Willingness to travel local and remote markets – may require some over nights.
