Thank you for your interest in working with ICE Factor. We’re excited to connect with experienced, energetic individuals to support an upcoming Retail Re-Grand Opening Beverage Sampling Program (Non-Alcoholic).
About the Program:
This is a live, face-to-face sampling marketing program activating at Walmart re-grand opening locations on Fridays, based on a set calendar.
Training Date: In person March 11
Activation Dates: Fridays 3/27/26 to 1/15-27
Each event is staffed by a team of three:
1 Event Manager
2 Brand Ambassadors
Event Schedule:
6:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Setup
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Live Activation / Sampling
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Breakdown
Activation Details
The team will execute a full outdoor setup that includes:
-Two Pepsi-branded 10×10 tents
-A small stage with podium, backdrop, and overhead banner
-Inflatable Pepsi assets and additional branded signage
The primary objective is to engage Walmart shoppers and employees through beverage sampling, primarily poured from 2-liter bottles. During the activation window, Walmart managers may also make announcements from the stage as part of the re-grand opening celebration.
This role requires arriving early, being on your feet for the duration of the event, and actively engaging consumers throughout the experience.
In some cases, a partial setup and sampling experience will happen outdoors and a partial stage and podium and backdrop, etc will be setup indoors.
Who We’re Looking For:
Our clients are seeking candidates who are:
-Professional, reliable, and punctual at all times
-Experienced in promotional events or sampling (preferred)
-Comfortable with setup and breakdown of tents, inflatables, banners, and signage
-Confident communicators with a friendly, engaging presence
-Proactive self-starters who engage consumers without waiting to be approached
-Able to learn and confidently deliver brand talking points
-Tech-savvy and comfortable using a smartphone for photos and reporting
-Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic about face-to-face marketing
-Able to handle and care for ICE Factor and client assets responsibly
All team members must:
-Have a smartphone for taking photos and uploading content to Dropbox
-Have reliable transportation to and from event locations
-Communicate clearly via phone, email, and text
Position Descriptions:
Event Manager - EM (1 per event)
The Event Manager serves as the on-site lead and is responsible for overall execution.
Key Responsibilities:
-Transporting all event assets to and from the site (storage unit pickup/dropoff)
-Leading setup, activation, and breakdown
-Managing and supporting the brand ambassador team
-Coordinating with Walmart staff as needed
-Capturing photos and notes for post-event recaps
-Ensuring the event runs smoothly, professionally, and on schedule
Requirements (EM):
-Prior event or team leadership experience
-Minivan or large SUV required to transport all assets
-Ability to pick up and return materials to a designated storage unit
-Ability to receive, store, and manage shipped program materials if needed
Brand Ambassadors - BA (2 per event)
Brand Ambassadors are the front line of the experience and engage directly with consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assisting with setup and breakdown
-Sampling beverages to shoppers and Walmart employees
-Creating a fun, welcoming, and high-energy environment
-Engaging consumers consistently and positively
-Supporting the Event Manager as needed
This program is ideal for individuals who enjoy working live events, engaging with people, and representing well-known brands in a fast-paced environment. If selected, you’ll be part of a professional, organized team delivering a high-visibility experience for the Client.
Market Requirements & Compensation Overview
This program is seeking local market candidates only. Applicants must reside within the activation market area. There is no compensation for out of market applicants.
While the program does require local travel, all compensation details will be reviewed and confirmed during the hiring process. Below is an example of the compensation structure for reference.
Event Managers: $40/hour
Brand Ambassadors: $30/hour
Additional paid training and travel compensation apply (details provided during hiring).
Overnight Travel (If Required)
Some event activations may require an overnight stay. In these cases:
Hotel accommodations will be provided
Per diem up to $75 per person will be issued for approved meals and incidentals
Payroll at our company runs on the 1st and 15th of the month.
