Laura's Raw Honey

Laura’s Raw Honey is looking for a friendly, dependable, and outgoing 1099 contractor to work selling honey at the 49th Annual Fairport Canal Days Arts Festival in Fairport, NY on June 6–7, 2026. Festival Hours: Saturday: 10AM–6PM Sunday: 10AM–5PM Pay: $20/hour Position Responsibilities: • Selling raw honey • Offering samples to customers • Creating a welcoming and professional booth atmosphere • Working independently during the event • Setting up the booth Saturday morning • Tearing down Sunday evening after the festival Important Details: • Pick up all booth supplies from our Rochester storage unit before the festival • Supplies include honey inventory, tent, tables, weights, signage, and booth setup materials • Return all supplies to the storage unit after Sunday teardown • Tent must be properly weighted per festival requirements • Booth remains set up overnight Saturday — tent must be lowered and products secured overnight • Must complete inventory counts before the festival begins Saturday and again after the festival ends Sunday to reconcile cash sales, credit card sales, and remaining inventory being returned to storage • No sitting or chairs in the booth during festival hours • Bring your own water, snacks, and anything needed for long event days • No alcohol consumption or vaping while working • No unauthorized people allowed behind the booth Sales & Payment Processing: • You will use the Square app on your phone to process credit card transactions • Experience using Square is a plus, but training is available Travel: Travel expenses are not included, including gas, tolls, hotel, or meals. You can shadow Laura (the owner) in the booth on 5/30 or 5/31 at the True Honey Teas show in Hamburg, NY to become familiar with the products, booth setup, customer interactions, and sales process prior to working Fairport Canal Days independently. Additional Opportunities: Additional festival opportunities in Rochester and Buffalo may be available for the right person.
