Laura's Raw Honey

I am looking for an outgoing, reliable, and sales-driven individual to sample and sell my honey at the Grand American Barbecue World Championship. Location: New Paltz, NY Dates and Hours: Friday, May 1, 2026: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2026: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2026: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay is $20 per hour. I will fully set up the booth the day before the event. You will be responsible for running the booth during all show hours Friday through Sunday. Responsibilities include offering samples and educating customers on different honey varieties, maintaining an engaging and welcoming presence, processing all sales (credit card, Apple Pay, and cash) through Square, tracking inventory before, during, and after the show, and packing up Sunday at the end of the event. After the show, you will meet me nearby in Tarrytown, NY to return all booth setup and inventory, as I will be at another event in the area. The ideal candidate is extremely outgoing, has strong sales skills, is reliable and trustworthy, and is comfortable working independently. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a busy booth on your own. This is a 1099 contractor position, and you will be running the booth independently. You must remain at the booth during all show hours, aside from brief breaks. No sitting is allowed; you must stand and actively engage with customers throughout the event. Alcohol, vaping, and smoking are not permitted during the event. Dress code is black pants or nice jeans with a belt. No graphic t-shirts or sweatpants. Please bring your own lunch and water and plan to eat during slower periods. A strong focus on customer experience is required at all times. All travel, parking, and related expenses are your responsibility. Paid time includes one hour for breakdown, in addition to all hours worked during the show for sales.
