Event Sales Representative – Orchard Park Festival of the Arts Orchard Park, NY | September 11–12, 2026 Personal Training with Laura Over the Phone Earn $25/hour OR 20% of Gross Sales (Whichever is Greater) Laura's Raw Honey is a third-generation family beekeeping business, and we're looking for an exceptional sales representative to represent our company at the Orchard Park Festival of the Arts in Orchard Park, NY. This is more than a one-weekend opportunity. We're building a team of professional event sales representatives throughout: * Pennsylvania * New Jersey * Maryland * Virginia * Massachusetts * Connecticut * Hudson Valley, NY * Upstate New York If you're the right fit, you'll have the opportunity to work festivals nearly every weekend throughout the season. Your First Assignment Orchard Park Festival of the Arts Orchard Park Train Depot Grounds – Orchard Park, NY Friday, September 11, 2026 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Personal Training with Laura Before the festival, you'll receive one-on-one training directly with Laura over the phone. Laura will personally walk you through everything you need to know to successfully represent Laura's Raw Honey at the event. Training will cover: * Product knowledge * Our sales process * Customer engagement * Sampling procedures * Square payment system * Booth setup and breakdown * Inventory management * Cash handling and sales recording * Health department standards * How to maximize sales You'll also have ongoing support from Laura throughout the process. Compensation You'll receive the greater of: $25.00 per hour OR 20% of your gross event sales Paid every Friday as a 1099 Independent Contractor. High-performing sales representatives have the opportunity to earn significantly more through commission. We Provide * Personal one-on-one phone training with Laura * One prepaid fuel card for each event * Hotel accommodations when events are more than 90 minutes from your home * Hotel booked and paid for by Laura's Raw Honey * Products * Booth * Tent * Tables * Displays * Decorations * Samples * Marketing materials * Ongoing support Your Responsibilities You'll be responsible for: * Picking up booth equipment and inventory from our local storage unit * Transporting everything to the event * Setting up the booth * Selling premium raw honey and beeswax products * Greeting every customer * Offering samples * Sharing our family beekeeping story * Processing Square credit card sales * Recording all cash sales accurately * Completing inventory counts before and after each event * Breaking down the booth * Returning inventory and equipment to storage We're Looking For Someone Who * Loves talking with people * Is outgoing and energetic * Can confidently approach customers * Enjoys selling * Is dependable * Is punctual * Has a positive attitude * Works well independently * Pays attention to detail * Wants consistent weekend work Previous experience in the following is highly preferred: * Festivals * Craft shows * Farmers markets * Trade shows * Retail sales * Specialty food sales * Vendor events Vehicle Requirements You must have a reliable vehicle capable of transporting: * Approximately 40 cases of honey * 10x10 pop-up tent * Two folding tables * Display equipment * Decorations * Sampling supplies We've successfully fit everything into a Toyota Prius with the rear seats folded down. Food Safety Because we sample our honey, representatives must: * Maintain excellent personal hygiene * Keep hair neat and secured when appropriate * Follow all health department regulations * Maintain clean sampling procedures * Be comfortable interacting with health inspectors if needed Training is provided. Professional Expectations When representing Laura's Raw Honey, you are expected to: * Smile and greet every customer * Stay engaged throughout the entire event * Actively offer samples * Learn our products * Keep the booth stocked and organized * Deliver outstanding customer service Phones may only be used for: * Square transactions * Business communication * Emergencies No personal texting or social media during show hours. Smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drug use while working is strictly prohibited. Representatives are expected to remain in the booth during event hours except for brief restroom breaks.
