Laura’s Raw Honey is looking for a friendly, dependable, and outgoing 1099 independent contractor to work the 58th Annual Corn Hill Arts Festival in Rochester, NY on July 11–12, 2026. About the Festival: The Corn Hill Arts Festival is one of the nation’s premier outdoor art festivals, attracting up to 125,000 visitors each year. Held in Rochester’s historic Corn Hill neighborhood, the festival features approximately 350 artists and fine craftspeople, live music, food vendors, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Festival Hours: Saturday, July 11, 2026 10am-5pm Sunday, July 12, 2026 10am-5pm Setup Information: • Setup may begin after 12:00 PM on Friday, July 10 • Booths must be fully set up by 8:00 AM both festival days • Booths are required to remain open until official closing times unless otherwise instructed by festival staff Compensation: $20/hour Position Responsibilities: • Selling raw honey and related products • Offering samples to customers • Creating a welcoming and professional booth atmosphere • Working independently during the event • Setting up and tearing down the booth • Processing customer transactions using the Square app on your phone Important Details: • Pick up all booth supplies from our Rochester storage unit before the festival • Supplies include honey inventory, tent, tables, weights, signage, and booth setup materials • Return all supplies to the storage unit after the event • Booth spaces are approximately 10’ x 10’ and all setup must remain within assigned boundaries • Booth must be enclosed on three sides with vending from the street-facing side • Tent and booth setup must be secure and properly weighted • Utilities are not guaranteed • Must complete inventory counts before the festival begins and again after the festival ends to reconcile cash sales, credit card sales, and remaining inventory returning to storage • No sitting or chairs in the booth during festival hours • Bring your own water, snacks, and anything needed for long event days • No alcohol consumption or vaping while working • No unauthorized people allowed behind the booth Sales & Payment Processing: • You will use the Square app on your phone to process credit card transactions • Experience using Square is a plus, but guidance can be provided beforehand Travel: Travel expenses are not included, including gas, tolls, hotel, or meals. Preparation Opportunity: You can shadow Laura in the booth at an upcoming event prior to the festival to become familiar with the products, booth setup, customer interactions, and sales process before working independently. Additional Opportunities: Additional festival opportunities in Rochester and Buffalo may be available for the right person.
