Event Sales Representative – Stratford Hall Oyster Festival Stratford Hall • Stratford, Virginia September 19–20, 2026 Paid Training Included Laura's Raw Honey is a third-generation family beekeeping business looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and dependable Sales Representative to represent our company at the Stratford Hall Oyster Festival in Stratford, Virginia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work one of Virginia's premier fall festivals while representing a growing family-owned business known for premium raw honey and handcrafted beeswax products. This isn't just a one-weekend position. We're building a team of professional event sales representatives throughout: * Virginia * Maryland * Pennsylvania * New Jersey * Massachusetts * Connecticut * Hudson Valley, New York * Upstate New York If you're a great fit, you'll have opportunities to work festivals nearly every weekend throughout the season. Paid Training Before working independently, you'll spend one full paid training day alongside one of Laura's Raw Honey's top Virginia Sales Representatives at the Around The World Cultural Food Festival in Alexandria, Virginia on Saturday, August 29, 2026. During training you'll learn: * Product knowledge * How to confidently sell premium raw honey * Customer engagement and sales techniques * Sampling procedures * Square credit card processing * Inventory management * Booth setup and breakdown * Health department standards * How to maximize sales * Everything needed to successfully operate your own booth Training is paid at $25.00 per hour. Please note: * Transportation to and from training is your responsibility. * Hotel accommodations are not provided for training. * Once assigned to work events independently, Laura's Raw Honey provides a prepaid fuel card for each assigned event and hotel accommodations when an event is more than 90 minutes from your home. Compensation You'll earn whichever is greater: $25.00 per hour OR 20% of your gross event sales Paid every Friday as a 1099 Independent Contractor. High-performing representatives have the opportunity to earn significantly more through commission. What We Provide For assigned events, Laura's Raw Honey provides: * One prepaid fuel card for each event * Hotel accommodations when required (more than 90 minutes from your home) * Hotels booked and paid for by Laura's Raw Honey * Products * Booth * Tent * Tables * Displays * Samples * Marketing materials * Ongoing support Your Responsibilities You'll be responsible for: * Picking up booth inventory and supplies from our Virginia storage location * Transporting everything to the event * Setting up and breaking down the booth * Selling premium raw honey and beeswax products * Greeting every customer with enthusiasm * Offering samples * Processing Square credit card transactions * Recording all cash sales accurately * Completing inventory counts before and after each event * Returning booth equipment and inventory to storage after the show We're Looking For Someone Who * Loves talking with people * Has an outgoing personality * Enjoys sales * Is dependable and punctual * Works well independently * Pays close attention to detail * Has excellent customer service skills * Wants recurring weekend work throughout the festival season Experience in: * Festivals * Craft shows * Farmers markets * Retail sales * Specialty food * Trade shows * Event marketing is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person. Vehicle Requirements Applicants must have a reliable vehicle capable of transporting: * Approximately 40 cases of honey * 10' x 10' pop-up canopy * Two folding tables * Display equipment * Decorations * Sampling supplies (We've successfully transported a complete booth setup in a Toyota Prius with the rear seats folded down.) Professional Expectations We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with people. Representatives are expected to: * Smile and greet every customer * Offer samples to shoppers * Stay engaged throughout the entire event * Learn our products and family beekeeping story * Keep the booth clean, organized, and fully stocked * Deliver an exceptional customer experience Personal phone use is not permitted during show hours except for Square transactions, business communication, or emergencies. Smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drug use while working is strictly prohibited.
