JOB TYPE: Part-time hourly. A flexible schedule is required, as engagements can occur during the day and evening, and on both weekdays and weekends.
LOCATION: Remote but based in/ adjacent to the greater Reno market

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Part-time employees are eligible to participate in our 401K plan and will earn paid time off.
The hiring pay range is $35- $37 per hour.
THE POSITION
Community Engagement Managers professionally represent Livetech and our client while facilitating program engagements both in workshops and community events in the assigned market area.
The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for planning and executing events in their assigned market area. This program is expected to continue, so we hope to build an enduring working relationship with a dedicated local candidate. This position is part-time; some weeks may be 2 hours, while others may be 20+ hours.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Responsible for assisting with scheduling, and possibly presenting classroom-style workshops, as well as working on traditional event marketing executions under a 10x10 pop-up tent at local community events.
Hands-on event management to include engaging and interacting with guests within the footprint, set up, tear down, and transportation of event assets, and post-event reporting, capturing content from events (quotes, photos, and B-roll video)
Additional administrative duties that include training, scheduling, and management of support staff, inventory & asset management, venue/event research & calendar scheduling, relationship building with local clients, and regular communication with Livetech’s operations team
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and improvement of events and organizational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous event/field management experience is strongly preferred
Exemplary communication and presentation skills (verbal, written, and photography); ability to communicate instructions clearly and succinctly; Ability to pivot in real-time to ensure successful outcomes and give constructive feedback to office staff/clients on proposed improvements
Must be tech-savvy – comfortable with modern technology, including tablets, smartphones (both Android & Apple), AV/ Sound equipment, MS Office software, Dropbox/Google Drive, hotspots, and both Mac and PC familiarity is all strongly desired
Resourcefulness, adaptability, problem-solving, initiative, and a positive attitude paired with a professional demeanor & appearance
Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help people are mandatory emotional skill sets as our staff often need the ability to respond with sensitivity and empathy to sometimes deeply personal information/ scenarios
Experience working with older adults/ seniors and/ or any experience with delivering educational training is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 8+ hours; often in the elements outdoors, while maintaining an enthusiastic & engaging attitude
Must possess a valid driver’s license, valid vehicle insurance, and a personal vehicle capable of transporting a variety of assets
