The Empire Is Landing in San Francisco.
The Empire Strips Back is bringing its wildly entertaining burlesque parody to the Victoria Theatre, and we’re looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to lead the charge.
We need someone who can build and manage a great local FOH team, keep a busy house moving, solve problems before they become problems, and make sure every guest has a smooth, safe, and memorable experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Overseeing all Front of House operations for each performance
* Hiring the local FOH team, including ushers and potentially a Merchandise Manager
* Training, scheduling, and leading FOH staff throughout the engagement
* Coordinating with venue staff, stage management, and production
* Managing ticket scanning, guest entry, seating, and late seating
* Ensuring house policies are clearly communicated and consistently enforced
* Handling guest concerns, accessibility needs, and unexpected situations with professionalism and good humor
* Completing weekly administrative duties related to staffing, scheduling, and FOH operations
* Serving as the primary on site FOH point person for the production
Schedule
Up to 6 performances per week, Wednesday through Sunday.
Evening and weekend availability is required. Schedule is subject to change based on the production’s performance calendar.
FOH Manager call is typically 2 hours prior to each performance.
We’re Looking For
Experience in theater, venue management, live events, hospitality, or Front of House leadership is strongly preferred.
You should be organized, communicative, great with people, and comfortable leading a team. We’re looking for someone who can stay calm when several things inevitably decide to happen at exactly the same time.
Strong guest service instincts, sound judgment, and a sense of humor are essential.
Experience hiring, scheduling, or training event staff is a major plus.
Perks
* Complimentary tickets
* Priority consideration for future engagements with the production
* A great local team and an extremely fun show to work on
