Merchandise Lead for THE EMPIRE STRIPS BACK at The Main Stage at Huntington Theatre, Boston, MA. Production Dates: April 21st -May 2nd 2026 The Empire Strips Back: A Burlesque Parody Production is set to land in Boston, and we’re seeking a seasoned Merchandise Lead to join our team during this critical mission. As Merchandise Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing inventory, analyzing sales data, and creating product displays. If you’re skilled with Square POS systems, have a background in retail sales, and a love for the performing arts, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: - Lift/Organize/Fold: Move and manage boxes up to 35 lbs with the strength of a Wookie. - Inventory Management: Utilize your Excel/Spreadsheet skills to monitor stock levels, analyze sales trends, and adjust inventory as needed to ensure product availability. - Communication: Stay in constant contact with your point of contact for the production. - Product Displays: Design visually stunning displays that capture selling trends, seasonality, and location-specific preferences, ensuring everything is in perfect order like an Imperial fleet. - Square POS Expertise: Master the Square Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting. - Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate counting, pricing, and inventory reconciliation. Pinpoint peak foot traffic times to prepare stock accordingly, timing is everything in this galaxy. - Upselling: Use your Jedi mind tricks to encourage customers to explore additional merchandise and make informed purchasing decisions.
