Merchandising & Installation Associate Hours: 15–25 hours per week, based on project needs Location: Multiple electronics retail locations within the assigned market Travel: Must be able and willing to travel up to 30 miles between assigned locations Employment: Selected candidates will be hired directly by the hiring company. Position Overview Samplers is recruiting dependable, technically capable individuals for a hands-on merchandising and installation position supporting electronics installation, retail fixture assembly, product setup, and merchandising projects inside assigned electronics retail stores. This position may involve televisions, soundbars, speakers, consumer electronics, retail displays, and basic installation tools. You will primarily work independently, with occasional opportunities to work as part of a team. Samplers assist with candidate sourcing and preliminary screening. Selected candidates will be hired, paid, scheduled, trained, supervised, and managed directly by the hiring company. Compensation & Employment Selected employees will be paid directly by the hiring company in accordance with its regular payroll practices and applicable wage-and-hour laws. Overtime eligibility, payroll frequency, travel-time compensation, mileage reimbursement, benefits, paid time off, and other employment terms will be determined and administered by the hiring company. Weekly hours are anticipated but not guaranteed and may vary based on project volume, store requirements, market needs, employee availability, installation timelines, and operational requirements. Responsibilities • Install and assemble retail fixtures and displays • Set up televisions, soundbars, speakers, and other electronics • Mount, position, connect, and test televisions and other consumer electronics • Complete basic cable management • Unpack, stage, place, and merchandise products and equipment • Support store resets and planogram changes • Install signage and display materials • Follow written instructions, diagrams, planograms, and project specifications • Use basic hand tools and approved installation equipment • Take photographs of completed work and complete electronic reports, checklists, and project documentation • Communicate project status and issues to the assigned supervisor • Maintain an organized and safe work area • Follow company procedures and applicable store policies • Travel between assigned locations within the market • Perform related installation and merchandising duties as assigned Qualifications • Experience in merchandising, installation, assembly, construction, electronics, or a related field preferred • Experience with field services, store resets, or related work preferred • Comfortable working with televisions, soundbars, speakers, displays, and consumer electronics • Comfortable using basic hand tools • Able to follow diagrams, planograms, and written project instructions • Reliable transportation • Valid driver's license when required for the assignment • Any vehicle insurance required by the hiring company • Smartphone for communication, photos, and reporting • Able to work independently and follow directions • Able to follow the direction of a field supervisor • Strong attendance and communication • Professional interaction with management, employees, customers, and project stakeholders • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Meet the hiring company's lawful employment and onboarding requirements • Able to lift and move items weighing approximately 20–40 lbs. • Must be able and willing to travel up to 30 miles between locations Physical Requirements The position may require employees to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull; use approved ladders or step stools; work in active retail and stockroom environments; lift, carry, move, and position televisions, electronics, fixtures, tools, displays, and merchandise weighing approximately 20–40 lbs.; use carts and basic material-handling equipment; and perform repetitive physical tasks associated with installation and merchandising work. Transportation & Technology Requirements Candidates must have reliable transportation to assigned stores, the ability to travel throughout the designated market, a valid driver's license when required, any vehicle insurance required by the hiring company, and a smartphone for communication, timekeeping, photographs, and reporting. The hiring company provides mileage reimbursement for travel between assigned store locations. Specific reimbursement rates and policies will be provided by the hiring company. Training & Supervision The hiring company will provide or arrange required job-specific training, safety instructions, project information, reporting procedures, and supervision. Employees will report directly to a field supervisor or other manager designated by the hiring company. Questions regarding scheduling, payroll, assignments, training, attendance, timekeeping, travel, expenses, workplace concerns, or employment policies must be directed to the hiring company.
