Job Overview: Are you a passionate pet lover looking for a flexible opportunity? We're seeking an organized, independent team member to serve as a Market Lead for a popular dog brands community engagement program.
This is a position for approximately 38 events from May through January, with potential to extend based on program success, plus minimal administrative work (~2-3 hours weekly).
Program Overview: Hype is excited to partner with a popular pet brand to launch a unique experiential marketing program aimed at creating awareness around a popular pet brand's new local vet clinics.
Our mission is to treat pet owners through surprise and delight moments while giving back to the community through local community events and street teams at local dog parks, dog-friendly restaurants, and pet-related events.
Position Scope:
Initial Duration: April 2026 - January 2027 (potential to extend)
Live Events: ~4 per month
Administrative Time: 2 hours per week for event sourcing and research and a 30 min weekly one on one call
Schedule: Must be available for weekend and evening events as needed
This is a step above a lead on-site role - you'll execute events while also serving as the key communication link between your market and our core team, plus sourcing local event opportunities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
On-Site Event Execution:
Set up and break down event sites efficiently
Oversee staff during activations
Recap all events attended
Event Sourcing & Coordination:
Research local yappy hours, dog-friendly restaurants, community events, and pet-focused events
Reach out to venue/event contacts to coordinate activations
Build relationships with local businesses for future opportunities
Communication & Reporting:
Serve as the primary contact between your market and the Hype core team
Attend weekly team calls
Submit event reports, photos, and timesheets within 24 hours of each event
Provide insights and recommendations for program improvement
Qualifications:
Passion for pets and alignment with the brands core values
Experience with event coordination or on-site event management
Strong organizational and communication skills
Reliable transportation and ability to manage event materials
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Weekend and evening availability
Compensation: Hourly compensation for event time and administrative hours.
