The Twin Cities Road Crew is seeking a Team Lead for community event activations. About Us The Twin Cities Road Crew is a creative agency that specializes in interactive engagement. We connect organizations with their target audience through a unique entertainment platform. We are not your typical experiential organization. We use an on-mic emcee to host each activation, a DJ to keep the vibe at the event, custom interactive games around our client’s messages, and break dancers to bring in the crowds! You enjoy events, entertainment and community outreach. About the Position The Team Lead is responsible for supervising the activation team – the Road Crew. The Team Lead is the bridge between TCRC Management, the Client, and the Road Crew. This role involves meeting the crew and loading the van, driving the crew to the event, leading the team, preparing for the activations, setting up and tearing down. All while ensuring brand compliance at community events and school assemblies. You will communicate with the client upon arrival to make sure we are meeting and exceeding expectations. You will manage the Road Crew to ensure the activation runs flawlessly. Core Responsibilities Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to brand ambassadors while fostering a high-performing team environment. Event Execution: Lead, set-up, execute, and tear-down Road Crew Activations. This typically includes pop-up tents, tables, displays and craft stations at elementary schools, community events, and festivals. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor the performance of the Road Crew and report on client/customer feedback. Relay team performance to management. Track and input timecards after each event. Brand Advocacy: Embody the TCRC and the clients’ brand, mission, and voice in all interactions. Key Requirements & Qualifications This position is ideal for individuals who are energetic, "people-oriented," and want to move from entry-level promotional work into a supervisory role. Experience: Proven experience in field marketing, brand ambassadorship, or management positions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with diverse audiences. Leadership Qualities: Ability to coach, motivate, and manage a small team. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) and lift heavy promotional materials (up to 50 lbs). Comfortable working outside and inside in all types of weather Transportation: Must have a car that is reliable for traveling to events and to our office. Good driving record. Comfortable driving a passenger van to events. Flexible Schedule: Events take place during the week and weekends at various times. June-Dec are heavy weekend mornings and early afternoons. Jan-May are weekday events for schools Technology: Proficiency with smartphones, iPads, and reporting tools. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor Position Compensation: Hourly pay starts at $30-35 per hour based on experience.
