Event: Guatemala Fest Los Angeles, a two-day Guatemalan community festival at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena. Zapp is a WhatsApp-based money transfer service for people sending money to Central America and Mexico. Shifts: Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM each day (8 hours/day). 4 positions. Candidates available both days are preferred. Pay: $25/hour plus a $25 meal stipend per day. 1099 contractor position, paid by ACH or Zelle after invoice approval. Responsibilities, working alongside the Zapp team at our booth: - Talk to attendees and explain how Zapp works with a quick live demo on their phone - Help people scan our QR code, opt in on our page and start a WhatsApp conversation - Run our prize wheel and the registration sheets for our bicycle raffle - Hand out flyers, tote bags and swag - Note down the questions attendees ask Requirements: Fluent Spanish (required), outgoing and comfortable approaching strangers, smartphone, reliable. Prior brand ambassador or event experience preferred. Uniform: Zapp t-shirt provided. Jeans and comfortable shoes. Training: Paid 30-minute virtual training before the event - a short video plus a call with our team. Breaks: Informal paid breaks as needed.
