Hello! EventLink will be activating near you with our Brightspeed event. We are hiring for the MASCOT position to be our big green internet troll, "Ray" Please see details + qualifications below and submit yourself for consideration. Event: "Ray" Mascot Appearance Brand: Brightspeed Internet Mascot Rate: $350/day There are TWO different locations this day with a break in between. Must be in charge of your transportation between locations. Date: Saturday, May 31 Location #1: Carmichael Gym. 2611 Cates Ave. Raleigh, NC 27695 (11am - 3pm) break. Location #2: Talley Student Union. 2610 Cates Ave, Raleigh, NC 27607 (5:30pm - 9:15pm) Job Function: Act as Ray, the Brightspeed Internet Troll. The mascot will make appearances at community and consumer events as requested by the local marketing teams. Ray will interact with consumers and pose for photos with loyal fans of the brand. While this role is non-speaking, the mascot will be required to adhere to character mannerisms that represent the brand’s core values. Please Note: ● As Ray, you will be asked to not share any information about this role on social media or through other venues. ● Ray will be paid for a minimum of four hours of work, regardless of the length of event. ● Ray will be scheduled with a mascot handler for the duration of each event day. Job Function will include but is not limited to: ● Preserve the identity of Ray without deviating from established character including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, fan interaction as outlined in the “Ray Manual” provided by Brightspeed. ● Make sure to have glasses and costume on properly and look at camera for photos. Skills, Traits, Qualifications: ● Due to costume restrictions, candidates must have a height of 5’9” but be no more than 6’0” tall and a slim build. Maximum of 32" waist. ● Must be comfortable being in costume for the length of time work is being accepted, especially in the confined space of the head ● Punctuality is mandatory. ● Availability to work flexible hours. ● Works well with children and fellow staff members at any event. ● Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
