Hi there! EventLink will be activating near you with our Brightspeed event. We are hiring for the HANDLER position to assist our mascot. Event: The Day Brightener Tour Brand: Brightspeed Internet Handler Rate: $27/hr Date: July 18 Hours: 6pm - 9pm (may slightly change - 4 hr minimum pay guarantee) Location: Sweet Scoops. 1 Main St. Clinton, NJ. Job Function: The handler for the Brightspeed Mascot, Ray, is responsible for assisting Ray throughout the day. General responsibilities include assisting the mascot in getting in and out of costume, guiding Ray while walking around, ensuring Ray takes breaks, taking photos with consumers and looking in the direction of the camera, helping ensure children are gentle with Ray and other designated tasks. Once Ray is dressed and in advance of event start time, the handler will send a photo to the Account Coordinator for approval of all likeness of costume requirements. Don’t forget to make sure Ray’s glasses are on properly. Please Note: ● You will be asked to not share any information about this role on social media or through other venues. Skills, Traits, Qualifications: ● Positive attitude and can drive excitement ● Punctuality is mandatory. ● Availability to work flexible hours. ● Works well with children and fellow staff members at any event. ● Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
