This is a full-time temporary role. As our Market Development Specialist, you will be supporting a large tobacco client in the Fort Lauderdale, FL market. The primary responsibilities of a Market Development Specialist is to contract new venues and events for marketing activations, supervise contracting efforts, and maintain relationships with new and existing venues. The market development specialist will contribute to the smooth operation of the market by taking on tasks outside the primary role as needed. This may include supporting other departments, participating in special projects, and stepping in to assist with urgent needs. Your flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond will be crucial to our success. Requirements: Must be comfortable working for a tobacco client (you will be promoting nicotine pouches) Must have reliable transportation (you will be working out of various locations in a 30 mile radius in Lauderdale, FL) Must have a valid/active driver's license (a state ID will not suffice) Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 21 years of age Must have experience finalizing contracts with venues, networking with businesses, and business to business sales in the Lauderdale, FL area Location: Various locations within the Lauderdale, FL area. Shift: You will be a hybrid worker that occasionally works remotely. Your schedule is flexible as long as you schedule yourself to work 40 hours a week.  Start Date: TBD - not confirmed End Date: TBD - not confirmed Pay Rate: $1,160/wk ($29/hr) Job Type: W2 Benefits: Accrued PTO.  Medical, dental, and vision. Venue Contracting: Identify and secure new venues and events for marketing activations. Negotiate and finalize contracts to meet company goals. Organization + Communication. Coordinate contracting efforts across the market, working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.  Schedule: (Flexibility is required to assist with Nightlife Markets) You are available during M - F 8a - 5p (Occasional Weekends) (may need to work outside these hours should business needs arise cross channels, nightlife channels may run as late 2am) Outgoing: Maintain open lines of communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution. Requirements. You must be 21 or older and are comfortable with working for a tobacco / nicotine brand. Additional Role Responsibilities:  Relationship Management: Maintain and improve relationships with new and existing venues through regular communication and follow-ups. Supervision: Oversee the contracting efforts, ensuring all activities align with company standards and objectives. Goal Achievement: Set and reach contracting goals, ensuring a steady pipeline of venues and events. Administrative Support: Handle backend administrative tasks, including documentation, reporting, and data management. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential venues and events, staying informed about industry trends and opportunities. Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the effectiveness of contracting efforts, providing insights for continuous improvement. Compliance: Ensure all contracting activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including labor laws and industry standards.
