❄️ CASTING CALL – WS Development Winter Events (Boston, MA) ❄️ 💵 Pay Rates Mascot: $45/hour (plus 3 hours for advance fitting/alterations) Brand Ambassador (Handler): $30/hour 📍 Location WS Development Properties – Boston Seaport (specific event locations TBD) 📝 Project Overview Karma Casting is partnering with WS Development to bring holiday magic to the Seaport! We’re hiring one Mascot performer to appear as “Betty the Yeti” and one Brand Ambassador handler to bring the character to life at a series of winter events. The Mascot will be the face (and fur!) of Betty the Yeti, delighting families, posing for photos, and spreading holiday cheer. The Brand Ambassador/Handler will support the Mascot by managing crowd flow, assisting with costume needs, and sharing the “lore” of Betty with guests since the character will be non-verbal. Ideally, the same Mascot and BA will cover all event dates, but partial availability will be considered. 📅 Event Dates Fitting (Mascot Only): TBD, 3 hours prior to first event Nov 7, 2025 | 9:45 AM – 3:15 PM Nov 14, 2025 | 10:45 AM – 3:15 PM Dec 5, 2025 | 4:45 PM – 8:15 PM Dec 13, 2025 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Dec 28, 2025 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Jan 11, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Jan 25, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Feb 8, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Feb 12, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Feb 18, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM Feb 22, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM *Possibly More Dates to be Added* ⏰ Each shift includes 15 minutes before and after for prep and breakdown. 🔑 Talent Requirements - Mascot (Betty the Yeti) - Height: 5’8”–5’11”, slimmer build to fit costume - Previous mascot/character experience preferred - Outgoing, animated, and comfortable in costume for extended periods - Available for fitting (paid 3 hours in advance of first event) Brand Ambassador (Handler) - Outgoing, engaging, and friendly - Strong communication skills to articulate Betty’s “lore” to guests - Able to manage crowds, assist with mascot needs, and keep energy fun and positive - Professional appearance; no visible tattoos/facial piercings during events - Comfortable with kids and family-friendly 👕 Uniform Mascot: Costume provided by client BA: Client shirt provided (seasonal attire TBD).
