EVENT STAFF – CULTURAL EVENT Location: Merced County Fairgrounds – Pavilion Building 900 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Merced, CA 95341-6053 Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025 Time: 4:45 PM – 10:00 PM Join our team for a formal indoor cultural event in Merced! We’re looking for reliable and professional Party Helpers and Bartenders to support a 200-guest gathering. We’re Looking For: Friendly and professional individuals Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Experienced in hospitality, bartending, or guest services Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in fast-paced event environments Bonus: Certifications such as TIPS or Food Handler’s Staff Duties & Schedule: Shift: 4:45 PM – 10:00 PM (includes setup and breakdown) Party Helper Duties: Greet and direct guests Clear tables and manage general cleanup Monitor event space for spills or trash Tidy men’s and women’s restrooms every 30–60 minutes Bartender Duties: Serve beer (cans) and wine (plastic cups) Set up begins at 5:00 PM; close down at 10:00 PM Uniform Requirements: Formal black shirt Black long tie Formal black slacks Formal black shoes Long hair must be tied up Neat and professional appearance Closed-toe shoes required Parking Instructions: Park anywhere onsite Pay & Logistics: Paid via Direct Deposit $22 per hour W-2 position Payment made the Friday following the event
