We are looking for a mascot performer to perform as Travelodge’s Sleepy Bear at the Wyndham Global Conference in Las Vegas. IMPORTANT DETAILS: Location: Las Vegas, NV Important Dates: May 18 rehearsal; May 20-21 Trade show Rate: $30/hr Description: As the Sleepy Bear mascot, you will be representing the Travelodge brand at the Wyndham Global Conference. You will be responsible for hyping up attendees, posing for photos, and bringing positive energy to the event. If you are ready to showcase your skills then we’d love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Perform as the Sleepy Bear mascot using non-verbal communication. Remain in character while in costume Do NOT take off costume while in front of guests/public/customers Display enthusiasm and high energy at all times to keep the entertainment level high Sleepy Bear is Happy, friendly and huggable! Meet and greet guests of the convention Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service Be available for photo opportunities Comfortable interacting with public All other assigned duties Experience/Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time Must have a positive, outgoing, energetic demeanor and able to maintain a good attitude Must be comfortable working in an immersive environment with music, flashing lights, and special effects Care for mascot costume and accessories when possessing it Must be 5’9 - 6’ tall to fit costume properly Mascot/costumed character/performing arts experience is a must Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable interacting with guests as the first point of contact at the event Awareness of guest interaction, safety, and overall guest experience Must have a positive, outgoing, energetic demeanor and be able to maintain a good attitude Must be over the age of 18 years Must wear provided clothing All applicants must submit a resume, recent photo/headshot, and sizing/measurements.
